As a Platinum Partner of Claris FileMaker, we can look back on a long-standing partnership: even the first versions of our ERP software advanter were based on the database technology of the Apple subsidiary Claris. At the latest when Günther Business Solutions GmbH was founded in 1994, Managing Director Sascha Günther – a passionate Apple fan – laid the foundation for the intensive business relationship.
Claris FileMaker – with "low code" ready for future
The first versions of FileMaker software appeared at the beginning of the 1980s. The origins of the technology lie in a program called “nutshell” from the company Nashoba Systems, which was developed for MS-DOS. With the introduction of Apple Macintosh in 1984, “nutshell” was merged with the Apple Macintosh interface. The software first appeared as “FileMaker” in 1985.
In 1987, Claris was founded as a 100% Apple subsidiary and publisher of various productivity apps, including FileMaker. Since then, the technology has been continuously developed and is now regarded as the world’s leading “Workplace Innovation Platform”.
As a relational database software platform, it makes it possible to create, manage and customize a wide range of databases or apps on macOS, Windows, iOS and the web. This makes it the ideal basis for our ERP software advanter.
